WWAY called for a “Voice of Professional Journalism translated” overall concept when designing their new brand facility. Transitioning from a confined space downtown, their new office occupies a retired bowling alley. The larger square footage presented the opportunity for a clean slate for programming and to allow their brand to be clearly represented in a professional, corporate manner. Reflecting the inherent beauty of the coastal location, soft, neutral tones are the foundation of the design. WWAY brand colors, red and blue, are emphasized and prominently featured throughout the space contributing a refreshing and energetic touch. Color turns furnishing and architectural features into stunning, unique, impressing and decorative elements of interior design.
Form and function were primary factors influencing our selections for office furniture. Keeping comfortability and cost-effectiveness in mind, the newsroom furnishings feature electrical connections and desks with acoustic panels that may be removed in favor of circulation workstations that promote an increase in communication and knowledge transfer. Durable materials like LVT and commercial carpet tiles hold up to the energetic nature of the highly trafficked area. The entryway features custom inlay rug with carpet tiles reflecting the brands colors.
