Our clients at Cape Fear Realtors wanted their event space and bridal suite at the Terraces on Sir Tyler to have a universal, timeless design with a neutral palette—something that could work with a variety of styles and themes for future events to come. They envisioned a completely refreshed space with nods to traditional style, while also incorporating contemporary elements in the furniture and other finish selections. For the bridal suite, the outdated space needed a better layout to encourage gathering and conversation with a luxurious, feminine feel for the bride and her party to enjoy. A whole new look was imagined for this space—adding in built-in vanities for better functionality, reworking the layout of the seating area to allow the bride and her party to celebrate and converse more easily, and of course—adding in the bar area for the perfect ‘cheers’ moment!
The design concept for the lobby area and event space was centered around the original inspiration for the building’s architecture: the beauty of nature, reflected in the unique, branch-inspired window panning throughout. A tree bark-embossed wallcovering adorns the walls in the lobby area, playing off the branch-inspired crystal chandeliers that hang in the event space. As these two elements mirror the building’s concept of nature, other rich and modern finishes create a harmonious blend of earth and elegance. Shimmering wallcoverings, textural drapery, metallic highlights, and contemporary furniture marries a former era with modern-day—bringing this space a versatile, sophisticated design with nice flow and functionality.
