Coastal, Relaxing, Inviting

One South Lumina

Wrightsville Beach, NC

The client sought a refresh for the common spaces at their vacation rental property, focusing on new flooring, wall coverings, paint, lighting, and furniture for the lobby and hallway areas. The design concept aimed to complement the relaxing and rejuvenating ambiance of the ocean. The new design for the One South Lumina corridors revitalizes the space with durable, easy-to-clean flooring in sea-inspired hues, paired with fresh paint colors to enhance the unique architecture and remind guests of their proximity to the beach. A revamped awning, updated lighting, and eye-catching planters enhance the property's curb appeal and create a cohesive look between the interior and exterior.

While flooring wasn't necessarily reworked, the selection process was meticulous to ensure durability and resistance to wear and tear from tenants coming directly from the beach. A favorite element of the finished project is the retro Wolf Gordon wallpaper in the hallways, especially the beautiful teal on the first floor, which ties in perfectly with the flooring. A unique aspect of the project is the use of a mix of LVT and kinetic material on each level, bringing an element of coastal whimsy to the space.
