Myrtle Grove Middle School got a fresh, new look for their students and faculty. Using their engaging and energizing colors with floor patterns and color blocking in the corridors, we created a way-finding for students. Each grade level has their own unique pattern and color that leads to their respective building wings. Wall patterns are painted at the end of the corridors to break up the long pathways to classrooms and other areas of the school. In the Arts and Elective wing, a wave is painted on the wall, speaking to the surrounding landscape and creativity that happens in the space.
Throughout the building, vibrant school colors give the space movement and creates a stimulating learning environment for all students. The media room was elevated with all new carpet, showcasing the school colors, and new lighting fixtures to hang above the study areas. The cafeteria and lobby’s beams were painted, and new flooring was put in to make those areas cohesive with the surrounding floor designs. Having the school logo put in the center of the lobby floor encourages school spirit and gives the entry that elevated, vibrant feel the faculty wished for!
