We worked within the Hampton brand to capture the region of the surrounding town of Hartsville. The interior colors and patterns were inspired by nature and agriculture of the area. We wanted people to feel located in that part of the country, so our patterns selected were inspired by these natural elements. The custom carpet was our favorite element and it set the tone for the design concept. We incorporated local foliage and blooms in the carpet patterns. We customized the designs with our own color interprtations, which reinforced the color scheme and gave the Hampton Inn its distinct look and experience for its guests.
The light fixtures in the "Perfect Mix" lobby added a little glamour to the historic scheme, as did the artwork package and decorative lamps. We used darker, rustic woodtones for the reception desk, breakfast area, and community room to capture the rustic nature of the surroundings and historic downtown environment. We brought in historic images of the downtown area, Coker College, and local industry to reinforce the location and celebrate what was important in the community.
